About our Religious Services...
First Friday Info
Ther 2nd Friday of the month
is our renewal haverah
3rd Fridays will include a family service at 6:30 P.M., followed by a musical
service for adults at 8:00 P.M.
On the 4th Friday of each month, we will hold a more traditional service, to be
led by congregants, also starting at 8:00 P.M.
Saturday morning Services start at 9:30 A.M.
Saturday morning services start at 9:30 a.m. This week, Rabbi Rick will lead “Davening 101” a once-a-month alternative prayer experience that will take place in a classroom (10:30 a.m. – 11:30 a.m.), during the sanctuary service. This is a chance to grow in your understanding and appreciation of our Shabbat morning service in a comfortable and prayerful environment. See flyer in lobby or on the website for more details.
Please join us every Saturday after services for a kiddush. This week, the kiddush sponsor is Herb Glazeroff in honor of his grandchildren. During our kiddush, we will have “Nosh & D’rash.” Once a month, our sanctuary service will end a bit earlier. Instead of hearing a d’var Torah from Rabbi Rick before Musaf, we will begin lunch earlier and engage in an interactive Torah study while we eat. This learning will take the place of our usual Torah study discussion.
Please join us every Shabbat for a Torah study discussion that begins after lunch (12:45). We read together a series of critical and enlightening essays written for the Conservative Movement’s Etz Hayim Torah Commentary. On April 1, we will continue reading “Dealing with Strangers: Relations with Gentiles at Home and Abroad,” by Rabbi Joel Rembaum (Temple Beth Am in LA). The book includes valuable study-guide questions and is for sale in the office. We urge those who attend regularly to purchase a copy.
