Below is a note I received earlier this summer from a young man who visited us many times. It is a wonderful expression of gratitude that I'd like to share publicly.
Dear Rabbi Rick,
I just wanted to make sure you knew how much I appreciate you and your wonderful congregation. Before my first visit to Ami Shalom I was very nervous about being an outsider and entering a world that was not my own. However, your congregation really made me feel welcomed from the very moment I entered the temple doors. Being somewhat of a regular visitor was such a joy. Each service was enlightening and every meal with the congregants had fascinating conversation, great jokes, and most of all beautiful fellowship. Learning about not only the Jewish religion but Jewish culture was such a great experience that I will treasure for years to come. I congratulate you for the great work you do with Temple Ami Shalom and the community as a whole. Thank you and thanks to your congregation for your cheerful hospitality. I hope to visit again sometime soon.
With much gratitude,
Charles E. Corlett
