How our Congregants Feel About Temple Ami Shalom:

"I have felt a genuine respect from all the people who have come into my life from this community.  Thank you, Ami Shalom, for being so kind and allowing me to grow, learn, and become satisfied with life — concentrating on the good things while forgetting the pressures and negative realities which often get in the way of knowing happiness."

"We have a dynamic young rabbi (with an enchanting wife and daughter) who brings great energy to the services he leads.  Rabbi Rick teaches Torah, prayers, and other aspects of Judaism to adults and teenagers in a way that is both fascinating and relevant to us and our world.  He is open to supporting innovative suggestions from the congregation, such as a monthly musical Shabbat (Musical Ma’ariv), an early Friday evening family service, a women's Rosh Hodesh gathering to celebrate the new moon, and a monthly healing circle.  I especially enjoy First Fridays, the monthly Shabbat evening services held in the homes of members of the synagogue.  There are services and activities to meet the wide variety of tastes within the congregation. There are opportunities for everyone to get personally involved in the community."

"My daughter tells me, 'I want to go see Rabbi Rick.'   What a joy it is when the child is the one urging the parent to go to services, instead of the other way around."
